Intercessor

Jesus Himself is our “Great Intercessor” (Hebrews 7:25).  And carrying a prayer burden for others is one of the noblest things in the kingdom of heaven.  Those who have a heart to continually ask God what He wishes to do in an area, and then have the dedication to pray until that reality is made manifest are what we call our Prayer Leaders or Intercessors.

These Intercessors interact intricately with the worship teams and co-lead with the worship leaders.  Therefore we offer a great deal of training for this position for it is so new to the Body of Christ to marry intercession and worship.

The primary worship model used in the house is called the Harp and Bowl Model, which received it’s name from the reference to the 24 elders holding bowls of incense and playing harps to God in Rev 5:8-10.  This prayer type is called antiphonal prayer, meaning back and forth, integrating with the worship songs.  For a demonstration of what this prophetic Intercession sounds like, check out 'Dwayne Roberts CD Apostolic Prayers I or II' found on the Friends of the Bridegroom website on our links page or get a copy at our Bookstore.

Romans 8:26-27
“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses.  For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
