Musicians

The deep impact of music on the soul has long been understood and accepted in the church.  “Bring me a musician.” (2 Kings 3:15) has often been the cry of the people.  We at the LAHOP are also dedicated to creating an atmosphere saturated with music, that ushers in the presence of the Lord easily and softens the hearts of the people.

Our vision is to see teams play 24/7 in worship to the Lord.  In a 'meditation watch', which was named after the meditations David had on the field watching sheep in Bethlehem, is primarily a time of devotions to the Lord through song.  The musician can choose the style of music to be played, and whether to sing spontaneously or with well-known worship songs.  The point of the watch is to create a saturated atmosphere in which the people of God can hear from the Lord for themselves and others.

If this is your talent we encourage you to use it for the Lord, for this is why He gave it to you.  In the past, Musicians have traditionally been used in battle.  We are the warriors in the Spirit.  The Lord sends us out to change the atmosphere, to prepare the way, for the others- evangelists, pastors, teachers, who come in after us.  The Lord has sovereignly placed us to break up the hard ground.  If you are a musician, you have an anointing of God to play your instrument and watch and see your area become changed for His glory.  We only offer to train you in your gifting and to release you in the ministry and work for which God has ordained you, to be a psalmist.

Psalm 150
“Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament!  Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him for His excellent greatness!  Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp!  Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!  Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.  Praise the Lord!”
