We believe in ministering in prophecy and prayer. Prophecy is one of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit and is a primary way in which the Lord encourages and exhorts His people. The LaHOP community are all able to pray and prophesy over anyone or anyplace the Lord leads. There are certain watches available where anyone can ask for prophecy through prayer.

Prophetic ministry is varied in all it's manifestations and is directly linked with the ministry of the Holy Spirit as the dancing hand of God whenever any group of Christians gather in His Name. As written in 1 Corinthians chapter 12, the Lord gives various gifts to His people, as He wills and as He desires.

1 Corinthians 12: 4-11
"Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
But the manifestations of the Spirit is given given to each one for the profit of all:
for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another interpretation of tongues.
But one and the same Spirit works al these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills."

Prophecy is but one of the many exciting gifts the Holy Spirit brings through His people. It is the Lord's main way of encouraging and lifting up His people so they have the faith and strength to continue on.

We believe that this is a very important gift in ministering through prayer to God's people. We encourage 'Body Ministry' for all of God's people, letting the Lord Holy Spirit be the head of His own church. People learning to prophesy and those learning to discern truth need the freedom to fail, grow, and learn together. More seasoned and mature prophetic Christians should encourage, lead, and train new believers in the gifting of prophecy, so all of God's people can grow in strength and faith, lifting each other up, and stirring each other up in hope and love. Prophetic ministry manifests itself in many ways. Prophetic acts in prayer, dancing, wailing, laughing, visions, dreams, and words from the Lord. All are encouraged and rejoiced in at LaHOP.
