Training
We believe training is an important part of any Christian's life and should be a regular part of one's lifestyle. We do not require anyone to be a perfect person before they can start ministering with the Holy Spirit. But to become a mature Christian filled with wisdom, training and Bible study are necessary.
Our community gets together and decides what training and teachings we will offer for ourselves and others periodically. We have a 'Rhythm of Prayer' lifestyle which includes study both individually & corporately. Many times we listen to teachings from some of the great teachers of our day and throughout the ages and then discuss them together. There are some wonderful teachings and we have many of them to offer for others to enjoy while at LaHOP. You are free to utilize these to help you grow spiritually and intellectually in your walk with the Lord.
Other times we teach each other on various topics that the Lord has put on our hearts and we have a blog on this web site to encourage discussions and the furthering of ideas, new insights and revelations that the Lord gives to each of us. Everyone can hear from the Lord and help his brother or sister to grow closer by their experiences.
One of our favorite ways to study and train ourselves is to simply pick a book of the Bible and read a chapter together and talk about the wonderful variety of revelations the Lord brings when we study together in community. He always enlightens us through learning humbly from each other with His glorious leading and guidance. When we learn together as brothers and sisters in Christ we see more clearly and completely, for the Lord delights in spreading His 'complete revelation' throughout His Body to promote unity and wholeness.
We also offer workshops in "Harp'n'Bowl" worship and intercession. At first it is a bit awkward, like learning to dance with a new partner, but we have found it an invaluable tool in flowing together as a team in worship & intercession. When a team becomes familiar with each other we find the 'new songs' the Lord brings from flowing in improvisational worship to be our favorite part.
