Lahop

The House of Prayer has a wide range of reading material for furthering our needs of study and devotion. All books in LaHOP are for anyone to read, though you must read them while at LaHOP. Come and see what we have to offer. We have many of the old classics in Christian writing as well as the most current and up to date books of our day.

You can find our library books in the main prayer room under the 'watch sign' or on the book shelves in the healing room and the office. Kid's books can be found on the bottom shelf under the lamp by the red 'Holy Spirit' chair.

The kitchen at LaHOP is for general use of all who are visiting the House of Prayer. It is a fully stocked kitchen with many food items for all to enjoy. Communion elements are always there as well as coffee and tea. When you come to visit LaHOP you will find yourself fully able to relax and enjoy being with the Lord. It is our joy to serve you and make sure you have all you need to be alone with the Lord without any extra chores or duties.

We have a lovely peaceful healing room at LaHOP. It is decorated in cool green colors and is a place for you to draw away with the Lord. We can schedule an appointment for you to have a more directed prayer time if you like or you can come and be alone with the Lord and seek Him in healing, for you or others.

In the main prayer room, their is a little cozy spot we named 'The Bridal Suite'. It is situated behind the lace curtains by the front door. This is a special spot for intimacy alone with the Lord where you can still hear the worship being sung. Many times I see people cuddled up under a blanket on the couch or floor deep in prayer and worship.

Also in the main prayer room is a place that is set apart for musicians. It is the main place where the worshippers & prayer leaders gather during live watches at LaHOP. This is where we have the sound system set up to run the worship whether live or with CD's. We also have many small instruments & toys for people to worship with in a basket by the drum station.

Our guest room is called 'His Chambers' and is located down the hall by the bathrooms. It is decorated in rich warm red & gold colors. We have chosen to set this room up as a place for people to come and stay at LaHOP in a personal retreat. It is available, first come first serve, for up to 2 weeks for free. If you would like to schedule a retreat at LaHOP, please let us know, at least 2 weeks in advance, so we can have it prepared for you.

Also at LaHOP is an upstairs efficiency apartment with 2 twin beds a full bath with a shower and a small kitchenette. It is large enough for 1 to 3 people to sleep in sleeping bags too - if you like being close to each other. We have decorated the 'Dove Cote' (a place where doves are raised) in cool soft green colors with scarlet accents. It is quite comfortable upstairs and a lovely place to draw away with Christ.
